Tools Section

Our ‘Tools’ are proven techniques we’ve developed to draw on and apply to each phase of the program. Essentially they help us identify, address and overcome any hurdles or challenges that could constrain us  – the collective us – from finding and implementing the improved solution.

TOOLS

We use five main Tool Boxes to draw on and guide everyone to the best solutions. One for each of the Four Elements and one to assess the current state of culture we’ll be working with to guide to the best solution.

Management Framework

This element ensures the business context for any improvement is robust. It is particularly important for cross functional improvement to capture all the interaction and ‘touch points’ so the final solution is universally accepted, embraced and implemented.

Core Work Processes

Core work is being excellent at the critical few things that ensure functional outcomes are optimised. We identify these early and stay true to them as we progress the program to achieve the alignment business outcomes and all constraints are either removed or recognised as boundaries that can be overcome. Core work can entail all aspects of process, systems and people and with Omega these are integrated and never done in isolation.

Voice of the Customer

Checking the outputs of any improvement are valid and needed internally between and within functional areas and externally with customers and suppliers is critical to the overall and sustainable success. This tool brings into alignment the perceived with the actual beliefs of all parties from different perspectives. This tool is very powerful, useful and often enlightening for all parties.

Coaching and Facilitation

We use Coaching & Facilitation to ‘bring your key people along on the journey to the solution and ensure they have the capability and confidence to implement and sustain. We have a fully accredited and practically experienced Professional Coach as a key member of our team. They are a resource to aid in developing your team members involved directly with the program in communicating, delivering and generally integrating the solution into your organisation as a whole.

Calibrate Diagnostic Tool

A diagnostic tool containing a set of psychometric questions to identify and measure any barriers or risks to achieving improvement expectations including;

  • Change readiness culture
  • Improvement program culture
  • Identify change leaders

We measure a cross section of the organisation or the entire site or organisation participate by level and function. Depending on the complexity of the problem we may do a one off diagnostic supported with a report and debrief session or measure regularly during an improvement program so participants and leadership can track their progress. The tool is a secure online format that is easy to use, quick to complete and comprehensive in it’s findings.

Benefits of Calibrate :

  • Helps business executives ‘see’ and appreciate the link between the culture and how a good culture can enable improvement / change initiatives to better achieve business outcomes
  • The behavioural improvement actions are integrated into the improvement program to influence the enabling culture
  • Provides the people doing the work with a pathway to achieving more purposeful work and a happier workplace
  • Improvement and change programs that are supported by Calibrate have a higher probability of being successful
